Confucianism （儒学） is a doctrine （教）which follows the teachings and culture of Ancient China, namely that found in the four books (论语，孟子，大学，中庸）and five classics (礼记，诗经，尚书，春秋，易经）. Over the centuries there have been many version of Confucianism from classical Confucianism （经学）to Neo-Confucianism (道学）to New Confucianism (新儒学） in the 20th and 21st centuries.
