As a non-profit organization, we focus on land hermit crab care, conservation, community, advocacy, adoption, research, rescue, and education in addition to providing care information, emergency help, teacher's resources, pet store resources, monthly contests, merchandise and live events! Hermit House (Mary Akers) is the first to establish a hermit crab captive breeding program. The first hermit crab owners convention: Crab Con was created by Hermit House founder Mary Akers !
