This is a community for sufferers with noxacusis, also known as pain hyperacusis, who do not benefit from cognitive behavioural or sound therapy. Although this subreddit is mainly targeted to noxacusis, sufferers with other forms of hyperacusis (loudness hyperacusis and tonic tensor tympani syndrome) are welcome to join and share their experiences. We also invite audiologists, ENTs and other healthcare professionals to read about the experiences of noxacusis patients.
