Runecasting is the art of divination using runes, whether they be Elder Futhark, Younger Futhark, Anglo-Saxon, or a more modern rune set. This is a location to post discussions on rune interpretations, rune history, creating a personal set of runes, or explore rune use and techniques.

Description

Runecasting, most often (though not always) based on the Elder Futhark alphabet, is a practice that grows out of the critical Norse lore wherein Odin hangs himself on Ygdrasil for nine days to secure the secrets of the runes. In the Havamal ("Sayings of the High One"), Stanza 144, we read,
